Director, Product Marketing


We are looking for a motivated, high-energy Director of Product Marketing to support our growth objectives with effective marketing strategies, materials, content strategies, sales campaigns, and efforts that translate our product into market-leading positions with compelling benefits and capabilities.

The individual we are looking for will have the opportunity to:

  • Proactively bring our vision to life and drive demand, client adoption, and success via creative marketing strategies and positioning.
  • Shape the positioning of products and services while communicating product value and messaging to the marketplace
  • Work closely with senior management and product areas on product content, including everything from product positioning, Sales decks, sales materials, blog content, landing pages and website content and design.
  • Define value propositions, proof points and key differentiators to promote the Payrailz product offering.
  • Be the go-to-resource for the product, sales, channel, and marketing teams to infuse compelling content and content to support new sales, upsell and cross-sell activities.
  • Develop, manage, and execute the design and development of sales collateral, pitch deck materials, product positioning, website, and other resources.
  • Work with Product Management to analyze and communicate competitive landscape and keep the company apprised on key competitors and how Payrailz best competes in the market.
  • Develop a deep knowledge of the market and how to best position Payrailz products to optimize the sales process.
  • Work with a team of talented and committed professionals.
  • Be a key team member and add direct value to a growing organization.
  • Advance financially and professionally as results are delivered.

This position reports directly to the VP, Marketing, and Chief of Staff


A snapshot of this person’s daily life would include all the following responsibilities and activities:

  • Create and execute go to market plans for products and launches in conjunction with product and sales teams
  • Drive the creation of supporting product marketing assets (marketing materials, marketing emails, website content, solution overviews, product data sheets, etc.) from concept to execution in order to support the ongoing needs of the product, marketing, channels, and sales organizations. Drive lead flow and demand gen to help create pipeline and revenue activities.
  • Work with the product team to bring new solutions and capabilities to market and position them for success.
  • Work with Product and Marketing teams to drive product messaging.
  • Assimilate and translate technical concepts into market-positioned tools.
  • Participates in regular team meetings and supports the organization’s ongoing questions, concerns, and feedback.

  • Given Payrailz’ exciting growth plans, financial technology industry knowledge is critical to this position. In addition, the ideal candidate must have:
    • 8+ years proven effective experience in product marketing or related experience.
    • Experience in B2B marketing and leading the arming of the sales organization with product marketing and sales collateral materials, campaigns, and other customer acquisition tools.
    • Demonstrated success driving positioning, and sales enablement.
    • Prior payments experience with an understanding of one or more of the following: payment technology, banking bill pay, transfers, P2P payments, and credit/debit card payments.
    • Experience working cross-functionally with diverse teams. Product, Sales, Marketing, Channels, Client Success, and Development.
    • Demonstrated experience in taking an idea and making it a reality through identifying required workflows and tasks.
    • Ability to work independently and in a remote working environment.
    • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to state things simply and persuasively for a variety of audiences – internal, external, business, and technical.
    • Possess strong analytical skills with excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communicator and collaborator across functional teams.
    • Proficiency in PowerPoint, and/or other design tools
    • Lead gen and campaign experience.
    • Design experience is a plus.

Ideally, the candidate should have a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience in Marketing or related field representing 8++ years of product knowledge in the financial technology and payments industry.

This candidate preferably would be working out of the company’s headquarters in Glastonbury, CT., or could be remote.
